Expressions of interest : Recruitment of a Firm Responsible for the Study on Hydro-climatic Vulnerability and Climate Risks in the Rural Water Supply Sub-sector.
The Government of Niger has received funding from the African Development Fund (ADF) and the African Water Facility (AWF) to cover the cost of the Project to Support Resilient Drinking Water and Sanitation Services in Rural Areas in the Maradi, Tahoua, Tillabéry, and Zinder Regions (PASEPAR-MR), and intends to use part of the funds granted under this grant to finance the contracts of consultants/firms for conducting a study on the hydro-climatic vulnerability and climate risks of the rural drinking water supply sub-sector in the project area. This study will include a comprehensive climate adaptation and resilience plan for the project area, taking into account the impact of climate change on hygiene and sanitation.
2. The services provided under this contract consist of:
? Assessing the hydro-climatic vulnerability and risks of the project area;
? Analyze the impacts of climate change on the rural water and sanitation sub-sector;
? Integrate a gender and social inclusion approach into the project analysis and planning;
? Develop a national climate change resilience and adaptation strategy for the rural water and sanitation sub-sector;
? Develop operational plans for community adaptation and resilience;
? Develop a protection and restoration plan for certain degraded aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems within the project area.
the Services Provided Under This Contract Consist Of: Assessing the Vulnerability and Hydro-climatic Risks of the Project Area; Analyzing the Impacts of Climate Change on the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Subsector; Integrating Gender and Social Inclusion Approaches Into the Analysis and Planning of the Project; Developing a National Strategy for Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Change for the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Subsector; Developing Operational Plans for the Adaptation and Resilience of Populations; Developing a Plan for the Protection and Restoration of Certain Degraded Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecosystems in the Project Area. |
